Sprayed / Gunned Ceramic Fiber Insulation
Foamfrax is a monolithic insulation system developed by Unifrax and is installed with special designed spraying equipment that minimizes airborne particulate. The end product is a homogenous mixture of ceramic fiber bound with organic and inorganic binders.
There are several grades available to give different densities and temperature capabilities for numerous applications. The product was developed to be sprayed over existing refractory linings to offer an upgrade in insulation and improve a deteriorating system for continued use. Since then grades have been develop to be primary linings and back up lining to hard refractory installations especially where numerous anchors are required for the primary lining.
Foamfrax can be installed with great ease and low rebound for quick turn around of furnace repairs. The product is sold as an installed system and Western Industrial Ceramics is a licensed supplier and contract installer with equipment available on the West Coast.
