Vacuum Formed Shapes
Western Industrial Ceramics can form almost any refractory shapes with insulation fiber using the vacuum forming method. We have experience with refractory ceramic fiber, mineral wool and fiberglass formulas to provide refractory shapes for temperature ranges from 1000- 3000 F. Our products serve a wide range of application from fireproofing to metal flow control.
We make a wide range of products for the hearth and fireplace industry including vacuum formed log sets and brick panels all from refractory fiber for temperature and aesthetic appearance. Many of these products are decorated with high temperature coloring for improved appearance.
Other products are flow cones, tap out spouts, hot tops, crucibles, hobby furnaces, tundishes, tubes, sight ports, combustion chambers etc. We have our own molding shop that gives us capability to produce very complicated shapes quickly and in small quantities or large volumes depending on demand.
We have numerous formulas to make insulation boards up to 3000 F rated. They can be vacuum formed from ½� to 6� thick and from 6�to 54� wide and up to 108� long. These boards can also be supplied machined to dimension utilizing CNC routers for complicated board patterns. They also can be imbedded with electric elements to make heating elements for any application requiring radiant heat.
